Applies to Most Federal Contractors and Subcontractors Effective June 21, 2010 federal contractors and subcontractors must post this notice. The new federal labor law notice includes employee's rights under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), lists actions considered illegal by employers, and unions, as well as, where to go for questions about the law. Executive Order No. 13496 requires federal contractors and subcontractors to post the new NLRA notice, whether or not they have unionized employees. The rules cover:
Under the new rules, the penalties for non-compliance are severe. (Following due process, failure to post can result in cancellation of a federal contract, suspension of payments, debarrment from future contracting opportunities and publication on a list of non-complying contractors can be sanctions imposed by the government.) Where a significant portion of a contractor's or subcontractor's workforce is not proficient in English, this poster must be displayed in languages spoken by the employees.
REQUIRED FOR MOST FEDERAL CONTRACTOR EMPLOYERS
