Formalizes protections against businesses discriminating against anyone based on marital status or sexual orientation.

Employee Wages

(AB 1093); Asby. Matthews

Permits final paychecks to be delivered via direct deposit if the employee had been using direct deposit to receive paychecks during employment. Also requires exemption for computer software worker include a requirement that the pay not be less than $41 per hour and that the annualized full-time rate also be met.

Employee Wages

(SB 101); Sen. Battin

Clarifies current law, requiring employers by January 1, 2008, include on the itemized statement provided to an employee (pay stub) no more than the last four digits of the employee's social security number. An alternative employee identification number may be used.
